wow that sounds awesome!!

There is so many options, one could go nuts or keep it simple and still end up with unique and beautiful instruments. I seem to like them pretty close to stock but I can see the lure of LEDs etc...

My original one Infinity SN - Very open grain, Bartolini Soapbars, Aguilar OBP-3 Pre, Matching Zebrano Headstock and a Wenge Neck/Fretboard. Either a Natural finish with Black Hardware or a transparent Burgandy Red finish with Chrome Hardware.

One I just thought up... An all Wenge Stage 1 with Bart Soapbars and an OBP-3 Preamp. Simple, heavy as all hell and would look awesome.

*phew* what a task.

Okily Dokily... preliminary thoughts, and this would probably change next week as I am an indecisive bastardo!

Thumb NT 4
Neck - Wenge centre laminations with 3 very thin (2-3mm) highlight lams of something whitish like maple. Wenge fingerboard.
Body - Really funky looking bit of predominately dark Ovangkol on top. Thought maybe bookmatched with the neck lams running through the body could be cool... maybe a bit much though. A veneer would be fine.
PU's - Humbucker in the rear, squared up though as opposed to angled like the normal rear Jazz. Jazz at the front. Not too sure about electronics... hmmm... probably 3 band MEC's then change them out if I fell out of love with them. If I was ordering a bass like this, lord knows I could afford it!
Hardware - black

I would like a corvette 4 stringer with a zebrano body, Ovankol neck, Tigerstripe ebony fingerboard, zebrano headstock. Natural oil finish.

Active single coil in the neck, and humbucker in the bridge, with a switch to convert it to a single coil. a piezo bridge pickup (all one unit).

Then one of those things seth horan has in his horns so that when he hits them, they make a percussive sound. Id like one in the top horn and one in the lower horn so i could make percussive loops with it.

Master volume control
Volume control for each individual pickup, and a stacked tone control (bass on bottom, treble on top)

White LED's in the neck, headstock and fingerboard, but just single circles like a std corvette, with a bass clef at the 12th fret.

Id be pretty happy with that.
